United States of America, Quarter Dollar 2007

The state quarter of the American state of Idaho shows a peregrine falcon and the outline of the state. A star indicats the location of state capital Boise. The inscription, the state motto of Idaho, reads 'Esto Perpetua,' 'Let it be forever.' American state quarters were issued between 1999 and 2008. Each of the 50 coins featured it's own unique design. The motive always is something typical for the state, a symbol, a famous person, a tradition, or a historical event. Idaho chose the peregrine falcon as a representation for the state's sparsely inhabited, mostly untouched landscape.
