Kingdom of the Netherlands, Wilhelmina, 10 Cents 1948

When Wilhelmina was crowned queen as an eighteen-year-old in 1898 in the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam, the Habsburg Emperor Franz-Joseph and the British Queen Victoria were still in power. When she abdicated from the throne in 1948, two world wars had changed the face of the earth, of Europe, and of the Netherlands. This coin of 10 cent was minted in the last year of her reign.
