Swiss Confederation, 20 Franks 1980, 8th banknote series, in circulation since 1995

The Swiss banknotes of the 8th series were designed by the graphic artist Jörg Zintzmeyer. The obverse of each note featured the portrait of a well-known person, to whom the note was dedicated.

The 20 franc note shows the composer Arthur Honegger. The reverse presents a piano, a score, and three trumpet valves. They stand for the special importance of brass instruments in Honegger's music.
