South Arabia, Himyarite Kingdom, Amdan Bayyin Yuhaqbid, Hemidrachm

This early half drachm of the Himyarite Kingdom was struck under the rule of Amdan Bayyin Yuhaqbid (c. 100-120 AD). It depicts a male head and a monogram in the form of a trident on the obverse. The reverse shows a smaller head surrounded by an ancient South Arabian inscription (known as musnad).
