Republic of Cyprus, 2 Euro 2008

The Cypriot 2 euro-coins depict the idol of Pomos as an example for the island's ancient culture. It is a prehistoric sculpture from the Cypriot village of Pomos dating back to the Chalcolithic period, circa the 30th century BC. The figurine is on display in the Archeological Museum of Cyprus.
